Tesla’s Gigafactory in Germany, one of the key production facilities of this famous electric car company, has been at the center of much controversy in recent years. From issues related to the environment, occupational safety to the establishment of the trade union, this factory constantly faces challenges.
Recently, another strange and shocking incident occurred: 65,000 coffee cups mysteriously disappeared. According to the German publication DW, this incident caused the plant’s director, Mr. Andre Thierig, to have a headache and warned employees.
The Gigafactory in Grünheide, where about 12,000 employees work, has faced a mass disappearance of coffee cups. Mr. Andre Thierig, the director of the factory, in a special meeting, revealed that since the factory started operation in 2022, 65,000 coffee cups have mysteriously “evaporated”.
This equates to an average of about 77 cups being stolen every day. Thierig has expressed his disappointment over the situation and said that it may stop supplying tools in the break room of the n factoryif the theft does not end.
This incident further increased tensions between Tesla and employees at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. In the past, the company has faced criticism for suppressing employees’ efforts to form unions and violating regulationssafety and environment.
