Instagram users are about to be able to use AI chatbots customized to their liking

Instagram users in the US will soon experience the feature of creating AI chatbots with a personal mark. As expected, this feature could be widely launched at the end of July or August.

In an interview with Ken Sutter – founder of Wavy Labs, Meta CEO – Mark Zuckerberg said that the company is testing a tool that allows Instagram users in the US to create fish c Custom AI chatbot. This feature is part of AI Studio, the platform announced by Meta in September last year. AI Studio allows creators and businesses tocreate an AI chatbot that responds to messages or chats directly on Instagram. Zuckerberg revealed that the feature is currently being tested with about 50 creators. It is expected that the AI chatbot will soon reach a small group of people and could be officially launched at the end of July or August.

This move shows the race for dominance in the chatbot field among tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, Apple and OpenAI – the company behind ChatGPT are getting hotter. According to TechCrunch, the interview took place on the same day Character.AI announced the launch of the feature that allows people to Chat with AI characters via voice calls and texts. Imad Khan – CNET reporter who has been “acquainted” with chatbots for many months, calling them “really remarkable tools” but can also be “pretty silly”. Misinformation from AI, like the recent incident when Google’s AI Overviews suggested users add glue to pizza, has been rampant in the newspapers. This forces companies to urgently fix the system.

Responding to CNET, a Meta representative said that there is no official release date for this AI Studio feature. This person added: “The AI experiences developed by us are in different stages. We’re testing a number of public features, including user-generated AI using AI Studio – Meta’s AI development platform. We are excited to share more information soon.”

“Whether it’s the creator’s own AI interacting with the community or a virtual character created by you… I think this will really work,” Zuckerberg said of the AI chatbot. He thinks that the process of creating a chatbot will be very simple. Businesses only need to press a few buttons to create their own version of AI to support customers and e-commerce.

Besides the AI chatbot, Zuckerberg also shared about Meta’s other technology projects. Notable is the neural bracelet project, which Zuckerberg thinks could become a platform of its own. In addition, he also mentioned Meta’s AR glasses with a highlight of three-dimensional AI characters.
