Google is about to update a new feature for Chrome, exclusively for users who never close tabs

The goal of the feature is to handle the multitude of inactive tabs that many users even forget they have open in Chrome.

Google is working on an option to make browsing less cluttered for Chrome app users who tend to have hundreds of tabs open. called Tab Declutter, this option promises to be quite a useful tool when available.

The first rumors about the Tab Declutter feature for Chrome surfaced at the end of March. Now, new findings show that the feature is closer to release than ever before, and we know that c some details about how it works.

Currently, Tab Declutter is being developed for the Chrome app on Android, there is no information about the possibility of moving to the desktop version or iOS.

The goal of Tab Declutter is to deal with a multitude of inactive tabs that many users even forget that they have them open in Chrome. It is an automatic storage tool that frees up memory and cleans up the user interface. First, the tool will store open tabs that you haven’t visited in 7 days. After that, archived tabs that the user hasn’t visited after 60 days will automatically close.

Users will be able to adjust the auto-save and tab closure settings. This way, they will have better control over the Declutter Tab. Additionally, the Declutter Tab setting will provide the option to automatically delete browsing data from stored tabs. So, the tool will clear cookies and cache for you, providing more storage space and improving browser performance.

There are quite a few users who open tabs continuously without closing them. Over time, that makes the experience of using Google Chrome cluttered. Also, when there are hundreds of tabs, it can be difficult to browse them one by one. Although there is an option to close all the tabs at once, but it can also close useful tabs. However, Tab Declutter can help you figure out which tabs you actually visit and delete the rest.
