Although has begun to be used in many fields such as education, entertainment, healthcare, elderly care and manufacturingfactories, but these robots are still in the laboratory research stage and have not yet generated revenue.

According to an engineer at Tlibot, a company founded in 2012 in Mianyang City (Sichuan Province), despite being hailed as one of the most promising applications in the AI era, the high cost is a barrier that makes humanoid robotsto deploy on a large scale.

The engineer said a humanoid robot could cost anywhere from 500,000 yuan ($70,000) to 1 million yuan. depending on the complexity of its functions.

Meanwhile, Tesla’s Optimus is expected to sell for $30,000, which is much lower than other humanoid robots.
